Key Areas of Responsibility

The IT Sales Development and Account Manager Associate will be responsible for duties such as the following:

  • Research, prospect, and qualify IT leads.
  • Drive client business with a focus on Core IT product and services offerings
  • Manage renewal business for software and support agreements
  • Strengthen IT manufacturer relationships thru pipeline, monthly cadence, outreach
  • Engage local vendor field representatives, collaborating sales efforts and partnerships with target accounts including uncovering new account opportunities and secure favorable pricing.
  • Develop solid business relationships within the various decision-makers at all levels at each target account
  • Uncover ways to make existing business more profitable (bids, warranties, etc.)
  • Enter quotes and orders as needed
  • Manage purchase/procurement, preorders, bids, order release, etc.
  • Interact directly with customers to provide quotes, order status updates, or other requests
  • Schedule/coordinate hardware staging/deployment with services
  • Manage customer contract pricing (VIR and Cost Plus) and periodic reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with peers and manager to refine and execute business development strategies.
  • Customer/Vendor Management
  • Prospect new contacts on accounts
  • Special projects upon request

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years IT Sales or IT Sales Operations preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge and keen interest in IT

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in emerging technology
  • 5 years experience Sales or Sales Operations
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in technology or business field
  • Sales Account Manager experience
  • Experience selling and marketing technical solutions and services including Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, Nutanix and Extrahop or their competitive equivalents
